Say what you need
Name the task and the result you want. For example: “Review the copy on this checkout screen and suggest clearer labels.”
Add the context that matters
- Goal: What are you trying to achieve?
- Context: Who is this for, and what have you already tried?
- Constraints: What must stay, and what limits matter?
- Output: Would a checklist, draft, table, or explanation be useful?
A starting point to copy
Goal: Review my sign-up flow. Context: First-time visitors on mobile. Constraints: Keep the existing three fields. Output: Five specific improvements, with suggested copy.
Keep sensitive information out of the brief unless it is necessary and you are comfortable sharing it with the AI service you choose.
